RHP is responsible for negotiating and delivering the capital stack for hotels ranging from limited service to full service. This includes establishing long term relationships with multiple private equity firms and family offices, as well as both regional and national banks.

With over 30 years of hospitality experience, Butch was on the Hardin Capital team that was responsible for executing the initial Hilton Garden Inn development program. This included entitling, designing, financing and developing 11 hotels over a 5 year period.

Butch has been involved in multiple "work outs" on distressed hotel projects. In most cases this included renegotiating the project debt, equity and hotel brand agreements.

Throughout his career, Butch has been responsible for the development and acquisition of more than $1.25 B in hotel properties. This includes the development and repositioning of over 40 hotels such as The Hotel Palomar Atlanta, W Hotel & Residences in Atlanta, The Renaissance Hotel in Charleston, The Marriott Nashville West End, and the Keys Collection in Key West, FL - just to name a few.

Butch has also spearheaded the successful negotiation of joint ventures with numerous capital partners including Hillwood/Ross Perot, Walton Street Capital and Greenfield Partners.
